Donate Your Used Scooter and Get a Tax Deduction

You can make a tax deductible donation of your scooter, in any condition -- running or not -- to the Vespa Club of DC! We appreciate donations of all makes, models, and displacements. 

Just message us regarding your scooter donation using the form below. After gathering some basic information, VCDC volunteers will pick up your donated scooter and carry out all the necessary repairs to make it road worthy once again. Some repaired scooters are sold to support the Club; others are donated to refugees and students through our partners the Immigrant and Refugee Center (IROC) and George Mason University (GMU).

Because we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, you may claim a tax deduction based on your scooter’s fair market value. As required by the IRS, we will provide you with a donation receipt stating the fair market value of your scooter (the donation value), and include the IRS 1098-c form for your tax records.
